You never know what you are going to see. Never. Sometimes what you think you should see or want to see is not what is before you. You can search under rocks not turned over, climb mountains, or even imagine what you long for. But don’t be naive into thinking that reality will play tricks on you. Seeing is believing but believing is not seeing. I don’t have to see something to believe that it exists. I can feel it. I can trust it. Everyday, I am just amazed at the acts I see done by others that are not required of them…they are done because they love to give and share their good fortunes and talents with the rest of us. I am not one to relish being in the spotlight, but actually prefer to slide just under the radar. Hanging out on the back of a room, watching from afar is what I prefer, but that is not always possible. What do you see for your life? What are you doing to make that different? If you don’t imagine it being different, you won’t believe that it can be different. Do you think the Olympic athletes see themselves being successful? Of course they do! What do you see every day that inspires you to do more? To reach out to someone and let them know you were thinking of them? To change your life, even with the smallest step. I have told our sons that people are always watching…not to intimidate them, but to remind them that they are representatives of our family. Someone is always watching, even if it is just you. How many people casually slow down for a neighborhood stop sign but don’t really stop because it is 4am? Integrity means doing the right thing, even if no one is watching. Use your eyes to see what life brings to you and use that to make a difference. You may just be surprised at what you see.
