What does your instinct tell you to do? At certain times, it may tell you to fight and at other times it may tell you to run. Your gut feeling should be trusted and followed if you can. The old adage, “If it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t right.” By why do we let outside influences dictate more than what our inner self is telling us? Why are we so afraid to trust something that has guided us from the first day we were born? I tend to think a lot (I know, big surprise right?) and at times, have over thought things that really were better left alone. I have had to stop asking myself questions that I could never answer and trust those things and people in my life and give up on trying to explain the unknown. We make things more complicated when we try to fill in the blanks when there are none to fill in. It’s like trying to complete a cross word puzzle or word search that someone else already completed — but you were the someone else. The whole nature of your existence is who you are and what you believe. Your imagination is a powerful thing but can be used to do more harm than good. I know people who will make up some version of the actual truth to make it more “worth telling” and yet what it truly does is drive people away. Your imagination and your character are the backbone of who you are and what you believe. What you believe becomes something that is projected onto what you do and say. What you do and say is your way of affecting others around you and this world we all live in. The world we live in and how we affect others is driven by our instincts.
