I saw this as part of a Facebook posting by one of my friends and needed to borrow it to share with you here. Someone else once said, “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, “I’m Possible!” Isn’t it ironic how we let others dictate what we can or can’t do? I love challenges and tomorrow I start one – doing 8 miles a day. Now, maybe I can’t run all 8 without stopping, but I am sure going to try. I was asked today why I would do that…my reply was, “because 6.5 seems so boring.” How is that for a turn of events? Two years ago I couldn’t run from here to the end of the block. Now, I have run my first half marathon, looking forward to my first extreme 5 k in October and another half in January 2013. That is the plan. Is there something that you love or talk about and people think you can’t do it? People are given the horrible news every day that they have some incurable disease, like cancer, and people beat it. All the time. I saw this video a couple of weeks ago and in addition to my loving the song, I love the strength behind the faces of those who made it. It give me motivation to do those things people say I can’t. I have nothing in my life that compares to what these kids have to deal with every day and yet their outlook on life could teach us all something. They understand appreciate all that they have left, never knowing how much time that is and yet they bring their “A game” every day. Because for them, there is no other choice. Statistics are just numbers, but this video forces us to see more than that. Impossible is an opinion…that is all it is. A prejudgment that something that has never been done before would be always be impossible to accomplish. I hope this inspires you as much as it does me…Seattle Children’s Hospital sing Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger”. Use this and other videos, quotes, and pictures to motivate you to do the impossible. Use what you read and hear to capture your hear in ways that will make you never want to give up. When people say it can’t be done, what that really means is that it just hasn’t been done yet. Remember that you always have the right to change your opinion because nothing is impossible.
