There are things that we are meant to do. Even when we think we can’t. Even when we don’t know how. Even when people will tell you that it’s impossible. “One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began, though the voices around you kept shouting their bad advice…little by little, as you left their voices behind, the stars began to burn through the sheets of clouds, and there was a new voice which you slowly recognized as your own, that kept you company as you strode deeper and deeper into your world.”– Barbara Sher. We are here for a reason. Minute things that seem so insignificant can change someone’s life forever. I am proof of that and I have seen it. I had a nice conversation with a young man yesterday who was unable to complete an obligation to me due to transportation issues. But as we went over what to do next and how we could problem solve together, I started thinking later that if he had been able to keep his appointment, I would have never had that conversation with him. It would not have taken place. There are rules to follow, traditions to adhere to, and ways that have been proven to be successful. But that does not mean that those are the ONLY ways. It might mean there are other ways that no one has ever thought about before. That the right person hasn’t been there before. Some things and people have never come into my life until recently and not just themselves, but who they are to me. About a year ago, someone was willing to come back for me and wasn’t going to go away without a fight…no one had ever done that before. I see so much potential around me every day that cannot be seen by others, especially the ones I see it in. I consider it my job to do what hasn’t been done before, even if I fail. I have to try. I have to keep searching for a way to make this world better and inspire others to see that it can be different. I believe there is more…oh, so much more. Things that have never been done before aren’t wrong. They just haven’t been tried, that’s all. Sure, we could try things and they could not go as we had hoped or planned. But, just think what could happen if it opens the doors and it starts a revolution of thinking and doing like no one has ever done before? Wouldn’t you love to be a part (even a small part) of something that has the ability to transform people’s lives in a very positive way? I DO!! That is why I am here. That is why I write. That is why I am taking this dream to a new level and will never look back. This is what I am meant to do. And I don’t know how or what roads are going to lead me there, but I have to move forward.
