Fight the good fight

Some fights aren’t worth it.  You know it and I know it.  They drain your energy and become a waste of time.  Then, there are those other fights.  The ones that are ALWAYS worth it, regardless of the energy and time it takes.  And the best part is that you begin to know how to tell the difference between them.  I know I have, especially recently.  Rocky and I say, “Running is easy and staying is hard”, but sometimes the running cannot be viewed as running from but running towards.  When faced with “doing what’s right vs. doing what’s easy”, is your choice, regardless of the cost, something you can live with?  I have had to make a few decisions like this and even though others may not understand why, I also have to do what I think is right in MY heart.  Some choices that we make, we wish we could undo almost the moment we did it, but it is impossible to go back and change it.  Others decisions can be made and if there are no feelings of regrets or wishing it could be different, then you have to believe that it is right.  Maybe most people wouldn’t come to that same conclusion, but you are not most people.  They may never fully understand why you have to choose that or what brought you to this point.  I have always tried to allow my morals to guide me and when I allow that to happen, I am fully comfortable with standing my ground.  I am reminded of comments made by some people who could not imagine making the decisions I have had to make in my life, but know that I also have no regrets about making them.  Everyone makes the best decisions they can with the information they have at the time…we only would change a decision because we have learned more.  Today, remember to stand fast and be firm in your conviction to fight the good fight.  Be a man or woman of your word and believe that you are doing the right thing, even if it upsets people.  Really upsets people.  “Do what’s right, not what’s easy because doing what’s right is never what’s easy.”  Remember that when you have to choose to fight, but always fight the good fight.  They are the only ones that make it all mean something.  You know it and I know it.
